Re: Fieldwork in Dalston, London
Lower 6th Form Geographers will be undertaking compulsory data collection in Dalston, London on Tuesday 8th May, Wednesday 9th May and Friday 11th May, 2018. The pupils have designed individual research projects, which will account for 20% of their A-level grade. The data collected will be used by the pupils to prove or disprove their hypotheses on regeneration in the area.
Whilst a significant portion of the coursework will be completed under supervision at school, the pupils are required to finish the write-up over the summer holidays and submit their work in September. We would like to ask you to help us by checking that coursework is being completed at home during the summer and to remind you that the Lower 6th Form Geography pupils will not be sitting any other Geography external exams.
Please ensure that your son/daughter meets us at Cockfosters train station at 9:20am and that they are picked up at approximately 3:20pm on the dates shown above. They will need a packed lunch, full water bottle, school equipment, an Oyster Card and sensible walking shoes. The cost for this trip will be £70. This will cover transport costs for your child and a supervising member of staff over the 3 days.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
