Fright Night at St. John’s

Wednesday, 5th October, 2016.

Dear Parents,

Every year the school gives the opportunity to all students in Second Form to take part in “Fright Night”. This very special night involves a sleepover at the school, a horror movie (cert. 12) and lots of scary stories – some of which are actually set in St John’s itself! Of course teachers will be with your children to supervise them. This year it will take place on Friday 11st November.

If you would like your child to take part, please note the following points:

  • The arrival time at school on Friday 11th November is 45 pm. Please do not be late as the schedule is very tight and we need to start promptly.
  • The collection time on Saturday 12th November is 00 am. Please be on time to collect your child! Despite clearly requesting punctuality, some parents are still late. It would be most unfair to expect the teachers to work during the day, then to give up their Friday evening and Saturday morning, only to then oblige them to sit waiting for parents turning up late.
  • Your child should bring their mobile phone with them.
  • Your child should wear warm clothing, as some of the activities will take place outdoors.
  • Your child should bring a sleeping bag, wellies and a few snacks.
  • We will be ordering in pizzas and drinks for supper.
  • Absolutely no torches or other sources of light are allowed.
  • Breakfast on the Saturday morning is not included.

We are looking forward to this exciting event at school and we are hoping to see as many of your children as possible. If you are interested, please fill in the attached reply slip and have your child return it to Mrs Pollard as soon as possible.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. Pollard.
