On Wednesday 14th March, our F1 students visited the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, to learn more about how the Harry Potter films were created. They completed an instructional writing workshop, handled original props from the Harry Potter film, and went behind the scenes to see where all the magic happened.
The students took a tour through The Great Hall, home to some of the beautiful hand-crafted props created for the Harry Potter film series, including Professor Dumbledore’s lectern and the House Points Counter.
Although most of the scenes that take place on Platform 9¾ were actually shot at King’s Cross train station, the tour let our students view part of the station that was recreated for the Deathly Hallows Part 2 film.
The students also enjoyed a spell and wand lesson, teaching them how to handle their wands as well as how to cast a spell – this was certainly a highlight of the day!
The students had a magical day!
