St. John’s annual Visits Day trips will take place next week with students from each year group heading out to various locations as part of their curriculum.
The school has today published letters for parents and pupils explaining what will happen on each day and what pupils are required to bring in terms of packed lunches etc.

On Thursday 3rd March 2016, 1st form students will visit Tower Bridge and HMS Belfast as part of their Educational Visits Programme.
On Thursday 3rd March 2016, 2nd form students will be taken on a guided talk of the Tower of London.
On Thursday 3rd March 2016, 3rd form students will explore the history of the Globe Theatre and through practical exploration, will develop an understanding of Shakespeare’s characters and stories.

On Thursday 3rd March 2016, 4th form students will be taken on a tour of the Roman and Ancient Greek galleries as well as a number of other exhibits.
On Thursday 3rd March 2016, 5th form students will visit the Bank of England, the monument and St Paul’s Cathedral.
On Thursday 3rd March 2016, Lower Sixth students will visit two University of London colleges (Kings College and Imperial College London). They will be given a guided tour of the campus and have an opportunity to speak to current graduates; one of whom used to attend St John’s. They will also visit the British Library, which houses world class resources and where treasures such as the Magna Carta can be viewed.
On Thursday 3rd Mach 2016, Upper Sixth students will be taken on a tour of the BBC Broadcasting House which should prove of great interest to our students.
