St John’s Prep and Senior School, based in Enfield, Potters Bar, has today issued a letter to its fifth form students regarding a trip to the Visual Effects Festival on January 27, 2014.
The school’s fifth form ICT students have been invited to find out more about visual effects, which is a growing industry and utilised in every newly-released film.
The letter issued to students, which also features the reply slip, is now available to view on the ‘Letters’ page.
St John’s students have the opportunity to find out more about this growing industry, understand the possible career paths available within VFX and film animation and speak to professionals about the roles they have within the film industry.
Furthermore, students will be shown how visual effects are created for films. Additionally, Pixomondo (one of the biggest VFX companies in the UK) will be revealing all the secrets on the overwhelmingly popular ‘Game of Thrones’ television series.
The trip will take place on 27th January, 2015. The total cost of the trip is £1.
On the day, your child must wear his/her full school uniform (blues). She/he will also need to have a packed lunch. The children are to meet at Cockfosters Station at 8.50am for a prompt departure at 9.00am, and we expect to return to the station at 3.30pm.
