On Thursday and Friday this week, children from forms F1, F2 and F3 participated in horse riding lessons at Trent Park Equestrian Centre. The groups learnt how to ride and groom the Horses and Ponies. In this lesson, they learnt to use the stirrups and reins correctly, and were able to progress from walking to trotting, whilst maintaining the correct horse riding posture. Lucida in F2, is already a more experienced rider, and was able to demonstrate galloping to the rest of the group.
The children had a brilliant time. The instructors were very impressed with how quickly they learnt the techniques and are looking forward to the children coming back next time. The next session for F1 and F2 is on Thursday 21st March and, for F3, this will be after Easter.
