Pupils, staff, and families at St. John’s Prep. and Senior in Enfield have joined together to raise funds and awareness for YoungMinds, the UK’s leading charity dedicated to supporting children and young people’s mental health. The school recently took part in the national #HelloYellow campaign, which encourages communities to wear yellow and raise money so that no young person has to face mental health challenges alone.
The day was filled with positivity and purpose. Pupils from both Prep. and Senior schools wore yellow accessories, decorated their classrooms with uplifting messages, and took part in wellbeing activities. Cake sales, sponsored challenges, art competitions and mindfulness sessions were just some of the ways the community came together to support the cause.
Teachers emphasised that mental health is as important as physical health, and that #HelloYellow gives pupils the chance to talk openly, reduce stigma, and reach out for help if needed. Parents expressed pride in how the school balances academic learning with emotional wellbeing, noting that initiatives like this reflect the school’s values of compassion, resilience, and inclusivity.
All funds raised will go directly to YoungMinds, helping to provide essential services like crisis helplines, online support and campaigns that empower young people to shape better mental health support nationwide.
The staff and pupils of St. John’s Prep. and Senior, Enfield, are proud to contribute to this important campaign and hope their efforts will inspire others in the community.
