St John’s Prep girls from F1,F2 and F3 played a netball game against Longwood Prep school this Wednesday.
The St John’s girls won with a score of 3 goals to 1. All of the girls played very well with three excellent goals scored by Valerie, who played particularly well. Also in the attacking third were Tejumade, Eva and Ece, who helped feed the ball to the goal scoring third.
There was some solid defence, especially from Nefeli, as Goal Keeper, who was awarded player of the match. Estela, Elisabella and Moini all played strongly in defence, with great passing and defending skills that prevented the opponents scoring.
Centre was played by both Tejumade and Athena who kept the ball moving and found space to receive passes. Both girls also played very well in Goal Attack.
Overall, this was a super first game for the St John’s girls who all enjoyed the afternoon, and are looking forward to the next match.
