St John’s F1, F2 and F3 Girls played a fantastic first game of the season against Cuffley Primary School, and clinched the lead by five goals to four in a very close game.
All four quarters were fiercely contested with great shooting from Valerie, ably supported throughout the match by Sophia, Ayla, Anaya, Penelope and Amelia.
Tejumade played both goal shooter and wing defence, bringing the ball back up the court to the shooting circle. Hannah was very successful in gaining possession of the ball in her position in goal defence, with the help of Emel who played goalkeeper, and defended the goal third. Estela and Ayla were strong in wing defence, and Eva worked very well at Centre and across the court throughout the game.
A wonderful start to the season for the girls, especially some of the F1 girls who were taking part for the first time in a competitive game.
