St John’s under 14 girls played their third round netball match in the Sisters in Sport National Cup competition against Queen’s College. The strong St John’s team won convincingly with 32 goals to 6.
The girls played exceptionally well throughout all four quarters of the game to secure this emphatic win. There was fantastic shooting from Katy and Skyli. In her position as Goal attack, Skyli scored many accurate goals, contributing to the huge total. Katy, as Goal Shooter, scored most of her goals in the first and final quarters, securing the success. Maddie and Ruya helped the team at Wing Attack by working well to gain possession of the ball. They also played skillfully in centre court, helping to drive the ball into the shooting circle. Defensively, Alana and Michelle worked really well and were strong in defense throughout the game. With Olivia as Goal Keeper, they kept the number of goals scored by Queen’s College girls to a minimum. Congratulations to the team who are looking forward to going through to the next round.
