St. John’s U13 Netball team win 8 straight games in ISA regional Tournament securing their place in the National finals!

On Wednesday, the U13s competed in the ISA Regional Netball Tournament at Redbridge Sports Centre. The team finished third out of twenty schools, earning them a well-deserved spot at the National Finals.

Our team started strong and quickly took the lead in each game. Keeping possession and turning it into goals was key in these short five minute halves. Saachi, Aleena, Lauren, Lily and Maddie controlled the centre court throughout these preliminary matches, and their work in both attack and defence ensured that St John’s took control. Stand out performances across the court resulted in them finishing at the top of their group.
Knockout Rounds

St John’s 16-0 Palmers Green High
In the knockout rounds, our team continued to dominate. They breezed through the last 16 and the quarter-finals. Tallula and Michelle were rock-solid in the defensive circle, proving themselves to be a strong barrier against the opposition. Their positioning, timing, and ability to turn over the ball were crucial in denying their opponents the chance to score.
Semi-Final Drama
St John’s 7–9 Abbotts Hill
In a highly contested, end to end match that could have gone either way, St John’s showed great team spirit and sportsmanship. Their performance left no doubt that they belonged among the top contenders. Despite their best efforts, the team lost by just two goals. The girls gave everything, showing resilience and composure despite the pressure.
Third and Fourth Place Playoff
St John’s 14-2 St Mary’s
Determined to finish on a high, St John’s came out strong. Skyli and Alana’s accurate shooting, and the team’s dominant performance secured a comfortable victory,third place overall, and a place at the National Finals which take place in March 🏐
