Kenneth, in First Form, was awarded a gold certificate in the recent Intermediate Maths Challenge. As a result of his exceptional performance, he has been invited to compete in the prestigious Cayley Olympiad, taking place in March.
The Cayley Olympiad is a highly selective mathematical competition designed for the top-performing students in Year 9 and below. It is a two-hour written paper consisting of just six challenging problem-solving questions, each worth 10 marks. Unlike standard multiple-choice maths challenges, the Olympiad requires students to provide full, well-reasoned solutions, testing not just their mathematical knowledge but also their creativity, logic, and precision in argumentation.
This is an outstanding accomplishment, as only around 1,800 students from across the United Kingdom qualify each year. Kenneth’s success demonstrates his exceptional mathematical ability and problem-solving skills.
Congratulations, Kenneth! We wish you the very best in the Cayley Olympiad! 🎉👏
